Lewd jokes and unsubtle innuendos are some of the ways in which Usui can showcase his very prevalent sex drive, jokingly earning him the nickname "Perverted Alien". Though arguably, he only acts this way toward Misaki (the female protagonist and his love-interest) and only wants to be that intimate with her; Usui is able to disregard his preferences for the "greater good". This is evident when he kisses a male member of the student council in front of Misaki to ease her worries about Usui kissing her days prior. Though he shows some reluctance to set aside his feelings for her, seeing how stressed she becomes leads him to take such drastic actions in order to downplay the significance of their kiss. Even so, there are multiple times where his attraction to her gets the best of him and he gives in his to more carnal yearnings without so much as a second thought like when he sees Misaki about to go to work in her bikini and gives her a very visible hickey. The combination of his understanding and subtle desire for sex with his ability to ignore his own personal inclinations makes him suitable enough for the sexual requirements of Zodion.

Usui is also very capable of taking care of himself and being independent. Because Usui has no parents (his mother died and his father's whereabouts are unknown) he was taken in by his family on his mother's side and was then practically taught almost everything. Due to their affluence, Usui's family hired a variety of tutors to teach him a number of abilities (shaolin kung-fu, judo and taekwondo among more varied things) that Usui easily picked up do this his natural genius. As he got into his teenage years, Usui had to become self reliant. He was given a large condo to stay by himself and had to decide on a rather dull high school of his own choosing so that he couldn't be connected back to his family. The skills he has acquired plus his current living situations will make him very adaptable to Zodion's environment.

Power: Earth — Summoning
Personality: (300 word min - paragraph form!)

In Seika High, the two most formidable students are Misaki "Demon President" Ayuzawa and Takumi Usui the most popular guy in school. Famous for his good looks (he rejects girls on a daily basis) and almost superhuman ability to casually excel in everything (be it sport or academia), Usui's good fortune make him somewhat apathetic and unmotivated towards most things. Usui is known for being brutally honest and careless with his words but he is more or less forgiven because of the mutual understanding that he's cool. Other than his reputation, not much else is known about the enigmatic Usui as he has no close relationships with anyone in Seika High. But that changes after a fortuitous meeting with Misaki at her secret part-time job at a maid cafe. Although Misaki immediately fears that Usui will disclose her secret to the entire student cohort, Usui understands how damaging she perceives that information to be and admits that he doesn't want anyone to know about his "secret entertainment".

Thus beginning an almost newborn Usui, whose personality takes a drastic turn whenever Misaki is in the vicinity. A crass, pervert stalker; Usui appears almost everywhere (though almost half of these encounters are coincidental) and has a strange tendency to spout out flirtatiously possessive lines while undercutting it with a ridiculous joke. While his actions earn him a cute reaction from Misaki, they are somewhat true to his honest feelings as Usui's mischievous persona is in actuality a front to avoid dealing with his romantic feelings towards Misaki. Early on Usui had confessed his love for her but because Misaki was unable to recognize her own feelings, he unhappily though easily put them aside. Misaki's reluctance to accept him was partially due to the fact that she was unable to tell whether Usui was being sincere or not, his constant mockery confusing her.

Evasive by nature, the fact that not many people know anything about Usui is mainly due to his inability to express himself and his history properly. Rather than explain the complexities of his family and his situation, Usui prefers to distance himself from divulging personal information. Mainly by being so off-putting that people refrain from asking questions and simply accept the image of Usui they might have for him. While it isn't until Chapter 46 that he explains his back story to Misaki and dispels some rumors concerning him, there are many sincere moments when Usui acts honestly; such as letting out a carefree smile at Misaki instead of his usual obnoxious smirk. But despite Misaki being the only person privileged enough to know and witness the gentler sides of Usui, due to their awkward natures, they've yet to evolve their relationship into a more romantic territory which has been more painful on Usui's part. Instead of reattempting to advance their relationship status, much to the wonderment of others, Usui continues to stay by her side as a(n unwanted) partner because it was too much effort for Usui to simply reattempt declaring his love when Miaski had yet to realize what he was starting to mean to her.

Altruistic when it comes to his own desires, Usui has never once made his (both physical and emotional) pain known in any instance. Returning to the event when Usui had confessed to Misaki, the aftermath of the confession attests to his selflessness. When Usui drops an incriminating photo of Misaki at her part-time job, Usui kisses her and tells her loves her before jumping off the building to grab it. Usui downplayed the incident (because who survives an eight story drop?) despite sustaining a number of injuries as well as the kiss and confession by making it seem like his bizarre gesture of gratitude. While there are numerous times whereby Usui puts himself in danger and shrugs off a fracture or a bruise, Usui would rather rashly hurt himself then let Misaki feel the same pain. However, at times, Usui can fail to neatly deal with some his emotional pain such as when Miaski's careless actions cause him to become overly-jealous, Usui becomes unrelenting and passive aggressive which makes Misaki feel uneasy. Despite his OP approaches, in the end Usui inarguably cares for Misaki as his number one concern is always her.

Because all Usui truly cares about is Misaki, he is very perceptive and aware of the situation around her. Usui has a very astute sense of observation that can lead to good advice for Misaki such as when she disregards a class's idea for the School Festival without attempting to look at the situation from their standpoint and come to a compromise. Usui hints that Misaki should be less hostile, however, she doesn't accept his advice as she assumes he's just pitying her out of arrogance. In most cases, Usui is usually able to anticipate how a situation will unfold as well as intuit the emotions of others, a skill that Misaki lacks. But the fact that Usui has a broader vision than Misaki make them a good team because what he has in natural ability she makes up for with effort.

"Zodion" First-Person Network Entry:

[like one of those greeting cards, have a rather bemused sing-song voice when you check the network:] Missing~ Pet~!

[should one check, they'll see a rather well-done pen drawn picture of a girl. however, there are also accompanying arrows and added annotations on various parts of the image such as "a brow with a crease so deep you could stick a card in it" pointing to her forehead; "flat but cute chest" pointing to her bust; "there's a kiss mark here ;)" a curved arrow pointing to the small of her back, "because she's a little bit S and a little bit M" pointing to a whip he drew into her hand and last but not least "i wonder color they are" with an arrow pointing to her skirt ]

Please return her to me, Usui Takumi. She's a very precious pet that doesn't like to be by herself for too long. She's tough and will probably threaten to attack you but she gets better. However if you think about taking my adorable pet for yourself, you'll make an enemy out of me, understand?

Hmm... [what else is there to say?] I'll think about a reward depending on how quickly she's returned to me or you can request something if you really want. I'll be at the nice looking cosplay cafe in the Earth District.

Your time limit is 24 hours.

"Zodionlogs" Third-Person Prose Entry: (200 word min)

Having turned off the lights, the only illumination came from the city's animated bustle outside his window. At this time of night, shops and restaurants remained open, making it safe enough for Misaki to return home all by herself. Touching the glass lightly, his eyes casually dart to the footpaths below, Misaki had already left but even the most recent memory left him in a satisfying state. Today was her birthday and she had spent the majority of it him. He lets out a wry laugh that reverberates within the room, to anyone that would be considered a date, wouldn't it? To anyone but her. But mid-thought, the scenery changes before him. Night turns quickly into day and the solid glass evaporates into thin air, Usui has to blink repeatedly to affirm that what just happened wasn't a hallucination.

Grass. A clear blue sky. An altar. Things that weren't there a moment ago were suddenly surrounding him. There's a flash of worry that's evident in his expression as he scans his whereabouts, wondering how he got to his home to Mystery Destination X without traveling in between. Was he drugged? Was he always here and simply woke up from a coma? Though it was quite reasonable to be confused, if not scared, Usui decided that there was point in being needlessly hysterical especially in a kidnapping situation. He wouldn't give, much less allow, his captors the satisfaction of letting them see him lose his cool. There was only one person with the privilege of seeing him fluster. Even in a situation like this all he could think of was her, but it was Misaki's image that made him calm.

With her in mind, Usui motivates himself to explore his new location. The faster he figured everything out, the faster he'd be able to return or something to that effect. There was a low probability that solving the mystery of his location would earn him a return trip home but in the worst case scenario, it was simply better to be informed than to disregard his predicament. His kidnappers had to leave clues somewhere.

Since the altar was the most notable landmark, Usui decides to approach it first. Upon taking a few steps towards the temple, Usui immediately notices the box that is present atop on it. The sight of it is not something Usui would consider 'distinctive' but the boy is no less drawn to it, feet moving unwillingly towards it. His sense of intuition was telling him something was off but his newfound curiosity was winning out. It's only when his foot descends over the shallow moat that he realizes his intuition was right.

There's a mild piercing in his chest that causes Usui to wince out of surprise and draw a hand over the afflicted area. But before he can inspect the injury closer, the water springs up around him like a fountain and his eyes widen as he keeps himself on guard. The theatrics of this place felt were incredible and if Usui wasn't becoming increasingly annoyed, he would let out a droll 'wow'. As the water rises, Usui notices that it brings up his reflection.

Was that an optical illusion? Upon witnessing his naked figure, Usui tries not to be too shaken, focusing more on the message than the overall sight. Where he had felt the sting of pain, there lay a strange symbol marked on it, faintly green in color. He had a casual understanding of it's meaning, recalling something about the Zodiac, the Taurus, and once it registered in his head everything returned to as it was. Well, this was becoming a grand start to his day. Having gone through all the trouble, Usui reluctantly opens the box, half-hoping something as grand and cliché as glowing gold would greet him. But alas all that lay inside was what appeared to be a very high-tech phone and a letter with his name on it. Reaching in for the letter, Usui reads it with a mix of bemusement and hostility.

"The Twelve, huh?" Usui looks towards the sky. If they had great power as they claimed then they could hear his modest call. "Thanks for the tattoo but I have no interest in helping your cause. There's someone back home that I'd rather be with so will you take me back?"

Pointless as it is, it was worth the try.

"... Guess you don't care about that, then. Well, whatever."

There's a sense of irony about being abducted to a place like 'Zodion', a name he's never heard of before. Even the sky seemed stranger than the one he was used to. But if Misaki had heard about this, what would she say? That the perverted alien had returned to his perverted alien home planet? Usui lets out a dismissive chortle as he thinks about it. Though he was humoring himself, in reality, he didn't want to be here... Being separated from her, at this point, was the last thing he wanted.

Sorry, Ayuzawa... Looks like we still have a reason to be apart.
